Very bad news--

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

*No day but TODAY*---

as they sing in my current favourite modern musical- RENT.

LJ is HOME, and pretty content.
At this very moment, he is sweetly sleeping on my right foot.

It's not great...there are some distinct masses on the xrays, and we're waiting for the pathology report to come back sometime next week.

My current thinking is this: "As comfortable as possible, for as long as possible."

I've already button-holed two of my women friends.... Linn, who I have mentioned here before, and Mikki, whom I haven't. Mikki has been with me through this whole episode. Both of them are cat-women. Linn even fosters. Linn is in one suburb of Kent, and Mikki is in another. One or the other will be with me, depending on availability when we go to the vet that last time.
I've known Linn about three years, and Mikki and I go back to undergrad school in '79.

I cannot begin to say how much your love and support has meant through this.

Love, (and a little) laughter,

Lawrence/Maytagbear

PS- Do see "Real Women Have Curves." Wonderful, funny, gutsy....

I'm glad for you that LJ's back at home now.

And just to humour things along here a joke I read the other day.

A man walks up behind his wife who is busy at the sink washing dishes and says "Would you like to out girl?"
Without turning her head the wife responds "Oh I'd love to go out it's been so long"

So the get dressed and go out on the town for dinner and dancing whereupon later into the evening the man confesses in embarassment to his wife that he was actually talking to their dog who had been laying at her feet.

My thoughts and prayers are with you...

I remember when my daschund Getchen was sick...I would take her to sleep with me every night and just let her lay on my chest and I would hold her there all night. I felt so helpless, I didnt know what else to do. Like you with your cat...she is my best buddy.

Nothing but positive thoughts coming your way ...

Lawrence,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and L.J.

Mike

For LJ

Lawrence, glad LJ is back home. I'll say a little prayer. I adopted my Fran as a kitten from the Humane Society 9 years ago and she had me wrapped around her tiny paw in no time. I understand how tough it must be.

Linn was here last night--

and took some digicam snaps of LJ and me, and she'll put them up when she has a moment.

He's here beside me, purring.

My friend Linn-

took the pictures and put them in this thread. I gave her my password.

Thank you all for your compliments on LJ.

LJ is wonderful. He is holding his own right now. I am just making an effort to enjoy every day with him.

Wow

Your cat is so cute and I hope both of you will have a great day. There is alot of people here who really care and that is so sweet .God Bless You and your cat.

PeteK-- you are SO wrong!

The ladies at the shelter named him "Long John Silver," for that was the only piratical name they could think of for a tripod cat.

In the car on the way home, he became LJ!

Thanks again to all who have posted.

I would NEVER inflict a series name on him.
