A friend of mine share this with me and I thought that you all might enjoy it as much as I did. It concerns the recent vote in California. Keith really hits it right on target here.

One thing I have learned over the past several months that I've been tuning into Countdown, and that is that Keith is super intelligent and he really gets it. This is another example.

very IMPRESSIVE, I don't tune to msnbc alot, He sure came across as sincere. I was surprised. alr2903

Oh, Ralph........Honey!

"One thing I have learned over the past several months that I've been tuning into Countdown, and that is that Keith is super intelligent and he really gets it"

Oh dear, Keith gets it? Please!- IMHO, I think Keith Olbermann is the biggest blowhard on MSNBC, next to Chris Matthews. Thank God for Joe Scarborough and "Morning Joe". That a man that "Get's it" =)

and yes, this vote is horrible..

Imagine that, Keith is saying something of substance that I actually agree with. Go figure!

I'm glad to see that support of this discrimination has cost at least one person their job. I'm a firm believer in freedom of expression on any issue but this is the heart of the issue - the freedom of people to express their love for one another at it's most basic level. I don't feel sorry for the theater manager, he will be taken care of. The Mormon church has aid funds and programs for situations just like this and he and his family will be provided for - especially when the ramifications of supporting the church as he was instructed to do caused the hardship. (I thought it was curious that the NYT article mentioned that his $1000 donation was a curiously large sum of money for someone of his position - that has struck me as odd all along, 23 million is a lot of money to be raised from "members" in any state) Many ex-Mormons and church critics call these type of people 'Mor-bots' and this is only one tiny speck of evidence of what we're up against, there are millions of Mor-bots and they are extremely well funded. They may try to back away from this issue now that they have what they wanted all along but don't be fooled, they will be back. The only thing that will work is public pressure and financial pain. Don't support Mormon owned or controlled businesses with your money. Hit them where it hurts most.

It is a very old and clever trick

used by the Mormons as well as other hateful, racist groups. Instead of the church or whoever the bedsheets wearers are this time investing money, "private citizens", that is their fellow-travelers do the public spending and donating.

If our state Supreme Court doesn't do their job, I hope we get creative for 2010's ballot. Let's qualify a constitutional amendment proposal to ban divorce. Or ban marriages between atheist couples. Or ban marriages between people who are under six feet tall. Etc. Anything to expose our "justice" system as nothing but a defender of injustice and hypocrisy. The number of ways we can make people understand what 'tyranny of the majority' means is limited only by our imaginations.

On today's "The View" Whoopie was discussing the different signs she observed when attending a recent gay rights rally. My favorite was "Brigham Young had 55 wives----I only want one"!

They have a web-site if you want to hear the rest.
Beware your blood-pressure though, as little twitty blonde thang has to get her stupid two-cents in. No matter how hard I try I just can't bring myself to like that twit.

Well I'd be up for banning divorce...

It might make people getting married finally take it seriously as a lifelong commitment and not merely a bigass, egocentric party.

Then again, the rate of "ironically convenient" unexplained deaths might skyrocket too.

LOL, Athanius, YOU flipped that coin, very WEll. I never thought about it that way.Kudos. My cousin told me not long ago the bigger your wedding ceremony, the stronger your vow's.ROFLMAO
