Video Clips from my job

I have taken some video clips from my work. 2 where i show you around the machines i have right now and one where i explain a bit about my recycling. Sadly i couldnt made more clips of that old Liab dryer, because it now blows the fuses when you try to use it.

Ehum, notice that first machine, Siemens. Yes, its the same one in the "siemens overflow" videos. However it was not our fault it broke. It was already damaged when the "suds" thing happend.

Took also a few more clips of our whirlpool washer for you all to enjoy.

If anyone has questions, please ask. Critic or whatever, say what you want. I,m listening.

So here is another clip of our Whirlpool washing. This was recorded the last minutes of the wash.

And.... here comes the first intermit spin. The noises in the background is me cleaning the lint filter on the dryer and removing the condense water and checking the condense "thingy" dont know the english word for it right now.

last clip is a rinse with alomost right water level. I checked the pressure switch and some cables were in bad shape. I shall install new pretty soon but until then this will be working. I changed so the machine has the same level as in the "gentle" programs. Maybe it does rinse better then, who knows. This was the first rinse, by he way

I particularly loved that first video in which you show the washers before they are recycled. Especially the older machines are interesting, like the Elektro Helios and the Husqvarna Ballerina (ofcourse that's my favourite in that movie). Thanks for sharing.

You may be the right man who ask to....

I've always liked (and I think Louis too), h-axisTL washers, and that's why I particularl appreciate Ballerina! We spoke about that type of wahers in a thread here "IGNIS,mio dolce ricordo!"...and that's the reason:

when my aunt get married bought a EuroTL-h-axis (60cm-wide!!!) it was a 1972's Ignis; when it comes the time to get it in the garbage in the 1992, I asked my uncle to save it for me but he didn't, so as I was very closed to that machine he saved for me only the engine. They bought a new washer, ever TL but Zoppas, which now is an Electrolux brand sold here in Italy.

Kindly have a look to the thread linked below, in which I described the machine and if you can tell me something about...PLEASE DO IT!!! I thiks you have already been busy with machine like that at your job, or not?

To Vivalalavatrice: I checked on that link. I think that washer was sold as Philips here in Sweden. I have also recycled such machine but it was some years ago. I can take a photo and film it if we find one again.

It had a very interresting construction, the spin speed was about 600-700 rpm. Often the belt goes right down to the motor but not in this machine, instead it had a lot of "bearings" like rollers that the belt was going through.

The drum was ordinary steel while the outher drum was plastic.

The ballerina machine is a favourite to me too and actually, i like "older" machines better than new ones and i absolutely HATE merloni and such "cheap" machines. here in Sweden the Merloni is sold as Ariston and Selectro.

i would like to ask you about your opinion on miele machines. Do you happen to recycle any mieles?
Also i would like to ask you about Asko machines.
Here on the island we consider them as quality appliances.
what do you think about them?
Finally i would like to say that i find your videos very interesting and please never stop to provide us with such a nice view of european appliances!

About Miele: It happens i recycle Miele machines too. My opinion on them is very very good machines, but i Think Mieles older machines are better than the new one. Guess they too have to go down in quality, because other wise no one would buy machines.

I have even repaired Miele machines before when we repaired machines and sold as used. Actually Miele were the ones that sold the most, even if they were old. Electrolux was nr 2 in the top-seller list.

About the ASKO machines: Almost same with Miele. The older machines were better done. Of course both new Miele and Asko may work for 10 years or more but if you overload them with clothes the bearings go quickly. That didnt happened with the older so often. I see often with newer Asko that the pump often has gone. I dont really know the reason for this, could be there are not made good or something (water leaks in into the pump)

My parents had a Miele w 433 and they even washed big carpets in the machine without problems. It happened occansionly the machine "jumped" some cm but nothing more. Then the motor in it died and it was to expensive repairing it, so they bought a new Miele. This one with 10 years warranty and it works tip-top, but mom wont risk washing these carpets in it. Or rather i have told her not to

Update: i have now fixed the pressure switch and the cables that was in bad shape, so now the whirlpool works tip-top again. It was a pretty easy job. I found out a "bad" thing, the tub is made in plastic. In my opinion thats not good.

I have had a machine where the plastic broke. A Beko. Anyone else heard of these machines? Even worse than Merloni is my opinion on them.
