shades of a Flair stove:

ad: "1950's classic kenmore range. Works great. Preheats incredibly quick and bakes on par. Have the original manual that came with stove. Need gone ASAP. Shoot me am offer worst I can say is no. Two of the burners stopped working but was told by an antique appliance expert it is most likely a quick fix such as a fuse."

This was a rebadged Roper Charm. It did not use top heat during bake. If you put too large a pan in the oven and sufficiently blocked the heat from the bake element from reaching the thermostat, the heat from the bake element would burn the contents of the pan. This was especially easy to do in the small eye-level oven of these ranges. Then there is the problem of the vinyl gaskets between the French Doors of the oven deteriorating because of the heat and the door hinges themselves weakening and not holding the doors in the proper position to seal completely. Where strength was needed, Roper wimped out. What antique appliance expert would suggest internal fuses for the non-working surface units unless it were a Canadian model in which case they would be accessible from the front? I wonder if the same expert suggested the price.

50s!!

Try mid to late 60s!!I agree about these, those doors get floppy , ive seen them so bad you had to lift both of them to get them to close.
