Phoenix qualifies as a big city, so people are beating a path to this seller's door, right?

Personally, I think the seller needs (new) glasses.  He's seeing too many zeros.

2000 for a kitchenette?!!

A bit ridiculous if you ask me. For one thing, this isn't a full kitchen of the type GE made, it's a cheaply built kitchenette for efficiency apartments and motels.

500 seems closer to reality, and that would be if it was all disconnected and ready to move. Even at that price, I can't think of anyone who would want something like this for their main kitchen unit.

I wonder if the shelf and the paper towel holder are included in the STEEP price. Actually, if the whole top is porcelain, it is a much more expensive piece, although not necessarily a more durable surface, than the usual little unit kitchens with a thin gauge low quality stainless steel top.

Nothing cheap about Dwyer - neither price nor quality. That top is a one-piece porcelain top. Dwyer units were first quality (I say "were" - remembering back to the days of the annual Sweets Catalogs, they still are as far as I know). Dwyer was the brand that others would always claim to be "just as good as" Dwyer.

Having said that, I agree that 2 grand is a bit steep. Many times I've thought about designing a home with this type of kitchen. The whole she-bang in one swell foop.

I could see something like this in a mother-in-law suite, assuming of course that your MIL wouldn't be insulted at having to use something this old.

Code.....

.... enforcement would have a field day with the L. rear burner so close to the wall, if reinstalled like the picture.

I think out of touch with reality and maybe a bit napoleon syndrome. Those sell all around Dallas for $100-$250 in very good to excellent condition. Does he know that this is a bad economy and people won't pay that unless they are as out of their mind as he is?
