That is a cool set!  Mine is a little later, 1969, and washer is only 1 speed.

Wow - the control panel looks similar to the one on the V-12 washer that my parents had when I was a brat.

The console says it's a two speed machine. I see three controls on the left side of the console. I take it one's for wash temp., another is for speed, is the third for rinse temp or load size?

I'm guessing the switches are:
Top (2 positions) - Water Level (full and partial)
Middle (2 positions) - Speed (fast and gentle)
Bottom (3 positions) - Wash Temperature (hot, warm, cold)

Sorry, but my vote will almost always go for the on-plumb vertical control panels that preceded the off-plumb slanty shanty style shown here.
