Photo and I.D.:

That's a JM 97, a 27-inch Mark 27 series slide-in range.

I've tweaked a photo for gamma and contrast so that you can see it a little better.

$700? I don't thiiiiiink so!

Even if money wasn't a concern, I don't have the knowledge, I think, that you do, John, to say $700 would be a good value. But considering what we get today and how long they sometimes last before we're throwing money out for additional warranty insurance, your perspective isn't unrealistic, either. As you say, the underlying motive is how much do you want it, value it, and need it? With time here at aw.org, I can see paying more if I wanted something, but not $2500 for a refrigerator that was marked down last month from $5000. (faints).

I Agree....

....With John that $700 is an attractive price when contrasted with the price of a new unit, but what led me to say "I don't think so" to the price in this ad is, we don't have to pay that much to find units like this.

Here's another one - in Harvest, it is true - for $75, and it's in Grosse Pointe Woods, a tony area of Detroit that would seem to be an indication of decent care.

If the $700 one is truly unused, and if that "first day" condition is important to someone, then hey, go for it. But for those of us who want a collectible appliance at an affordable price, they're out there for lots less.
