Old but interesting - does the agitator look contemporary, with it's low profile? I wonder how this size agitator worked - back and forth or in one direction only?

I would bet that agitator works back and forth-with those large vanes-if one direction-clothes would get wrapped up in it.Bet that agitator stirs up quite a rucus in that tub!
