When I was a little kid, my neighbors the Sircle family had the "Embassy" model in the blonde finish, with the swivel base. Mrs Sircle was beautiful, as she looked almost exactly like Lena Horne.
When "I" was a little kid..... I was a tormenting little bastard.
I picked on my two sisters, put dead bugs in their bed, played with backyard worms and mud.
Shook salt shakers on the slugs after a rain to watch them die.
I took the family record player apart and ruined it.
In elementary school I carved my name in the wooden desktop and got in trouble.
And I climbed the backyard fence to get into the Anderson's yard so I could pig out on blueberries, rasberries, and peaches from their garden.

Yes Matt, so was I. Thankfully I was a free range kid that only had to go home for meals and experienced alot before high school. There I had the most fun and when I was a Senior, we could legally drink, vote and even get a car loan. I miss those fun days as being an old fart now sucks.
Indeed I can relate to that!
I've told people, friends, that "When we were young, all we talked or were concerned about was having fun, and talking about our conquests...."
"But now, as we are old farts, all we ever seem to talk about are our illnesses, backaches, and our bowel troubles."

You sound like the little boy in the 1955 song "Nuttin' for Christmas"!
