Hello, I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me about some places that sell vintage appliances on the east coast? I live in North Carolina, but I am willing to travel. I am very fascinated with old appliances, but I am having a hard time finding some in my area.

Is a fun place to go, but its a pretty good drive to Clayton, . Our local furniture store always has a bunch of old stuff, but its hit or miss what he will sell..

here is a nice vintage whirlpool washer dryer set but the problem is you would need to have them ship from canada to your area and that could be costly

What type of "vintage appliances" are you looking for?

Washers & dryers?

Stoves?

Refrigerators?

Or maybe smalls (counter top appliances)?

Having a vintage appliance shop is not an economically feasible thing to do. Problem is that the supply always exceeds the demand.

I have a small handful of vintage pieces at my shop, mostly for decoration and not sale. ( I would sell them in a heartbeat to any reasonable offer)

If you want to just look at some vintage appliances I recommend attending any of the wash ins that go on from time to time. The members here have the most amazing appliances in existence. You'll never find anything like them in the wild.

brucelucenta, the whirlpool washer dryer set i link the lid might look like a side lid but its not because its a canadien design whirlpool washer i kinow i had the 4 wash rinse temp model when i was a kid in my family in white and the lid is not side opening
