I wouldn't necessarily consider that oven "vintage" compared to the rest of the kitchen.

That Combination is a '57 model, first year for GE's "Straight-Line Design" styling program.

The basic design soldiered on until 1971, with a lot of detail changes, primarily to the exterior trim and interior fittings.

Surviving units have usually had a compressor replacement, because the originals tended to give up the ghost after a few years.

My mom used her '58 for thirty years, though she complained for years about the expense of the compressor job.

Nice kitchen

I am looking for a new house and looking for a house with a kitchen like that.  I hate when I hear people are ripping them out and replacing them with what I am seeing in these great older homes.  Such a shame!
