This is the last machine left that I saved from my uncle's collection. A few of you on here have bought some of my other machines.

This one works. Just needs a little cleaning up here and there.

Best wringers on washers or whatever gave results equal to about 250rpm spin speed in terms of extraction. So while the spin drying on those Westinghouse washers was indeed easier (on both the wash and Madame's energy), you still pretty much had sodden wet laundry. More so giving the nature of heavy textiles often in use then.

As we often discuss, the above was reason why early clothes dryers had such high temperatures. They needed that heat to bake out all that remaining moisture. *LOL*
 
250-300 rpm spin

With these speeds, the housewives must have been truly elated when the spin dryer finally hit the market.
