Car Shows

Nice photos Rick! I went to one car show at our town festival and won first place with my Riv, But I was the only one in that class! Ha! They had 75 trophies and only 35 cars so everybody got a trophie! Heres a nice 68 Camaro SS 396. I sold the guy an original walnut steering wheel for it.

Interior, Deluxe houndstooth seats, moulded door panels and walnut trim. A well optioned SS.

Nice Camero Don!
We won for *something* on my Olds this summer too. Tim went up to get the prize and it was a bunch of car stuff that mostly we did not even want or need. I gave most of the stuff away at the show. We kept a nice fender cover,a set of three vice grip pliers, and the car soap and tire dressing. The shows are just somthing fun to do for us anyway.

Nice rides!

I love going to car shows in hopes of seeing cars like that. Around here it is Mustangs and Camaros, and not the older classics. I love the 60's cars the most! Thanks for posting those, nice to see some classic, powerful Olds being preserved. Someday I will get around to getting my Impala back up and running, I used to hit all the local shows and the Carlisle events with it.

'58 & '59

Rickr was your 58 Chev a Ba or an I? I love all of the Chevy
2/3 rear light styles, even the rectangular horizontals or
verticals but more so the rounds. What was the 59 Buick;
Electra, Invicta, or Lesabre? I think 59 was the last year
they had the starter engaging accelerator pedal. I loved those!!

My 58 Chevy Belair

Which had a 348 engine, and we replaced with a 409 engine. don't know what model the "mean machine" 59 Buick was. I do recall the step on gas starter in the 59 Buick. (:

I always go to the big ACD Festival in Auburn, the James Dean Festival sometimes,Muddy River Run(which is the most fun BTW) and usually a couple of smaller shows in MIand or OH. Have not heard of those others. Are they good shows?
Scott,
Where is Bright Indiana?BTW I have never heard of it. I am in Fort Wayne.

My 62 Grand Prix

My sister owns this car now. I am going to sell it on ebay next year for her.

Bright is actually in Lawrenceburg. Lawrenceburg is in the S.E. corner where Ohio, kentucky and Indiana meet. Right outside of Cincinnati Ohio. The car shows here are usally good. The one in Rising Sun being my favorite.

Heaven

Rick, you have owned an awesome aray of automobiles! I'm a big fan of '62 Poncho's, and the 62 GP is a personal fav. Loved the photos you shared, have a soft spot in my heart for any Olds, and I really liked the 59 Buick and the Caddy. You have a very nice taste in cars!
