A friend and I saved this from a house which is to be demolished.

 

The clock is stuck, but the rest of the controls seem to function fine.

1962-4 FD Double Wall Oven

These were very good ovens overall. you could cook a lot of food in these there are bigger than they look.

 

Hi David, did you discover the unique way the doors fold down to make cleaning access better ? all you do is flip the two tabs out near the hinges and the door will drop down to make it easy to reach in and clean.

 

The Broiler-Grille feature was another great idea, it allowed you to control the intensity of the lower ovens broiler so you could better control the broiling operation without moving the food closer or farther from the broiler element.

 

The only real problem area for these ovens [ other than the clock ] were the bake and broil element contacts and the wiring attached to them. If you are going to pass this oven on for someone to use I would check these contacts and the wiring attached to them and the wiring in the control panel for the elements on the thermostats, clock switches etc.
