U-ship works well if one can be flexible in terms of item collection and delivery.
Usually but not always first bids on a U-ship listing are the highest. If one is willing or can wait on collection lower offers may come in as well.
Thing with U-Ship is one is highly dependent upon someone being in or near location of item, and then going to where it is wanted delivered.
Sometimes listings receive many bids, others not so much.
Then you have to consider some shippers (high, low or whatever bidders) may be on a time schedule. That is they can (for various reasons) only collect and deliver an item within a specific range of dates. A shipper may be passing through or leaving from a certain area on "X" date, then passing through/arriving in delivery area on "Y". If you cannot work with those dates, and or wait to long for accepting bid, then that will be that.
Have had mostly good dealings with U-Ship. Unlike the delivery service that (slightly) damaged my new AEG W&D set, things have arrived with U-Ship on time and in good condition.
