Vintage GE LH110 Refrigerator

Hi, I recently moved into a new house, and this vintage refrigerator was in the workshop. I was told by the previous owners it worked as of a few years ago, but no one has tried since. The brand is GE and the model is LH100-KB. As you can see it is in OK shape, and would probably clean up even better, but will not look new.

I restore antique motorcycles, so I hate to see nice, original, vintage items get scrapped. Can anyone tell me what this is worth or how to sell it to someone who would be interested in doing something other than scrapping it? If it made it this far, I would hate to be the one who seals it's doom.

Anyway, the house was built in 1948, and I suspect this fridge could possibly have been the original to the house, but maybe not.

Any info you could provide would be appreciated, and of course all offers considered if anyone happens to be interested.

Cool refrigerator - thanks for attempting to save it from the crusher.  I believe it is a 1953 model.

 

Advertising?  AW is a good start, also your local Craigslist, especially if you include words like "vintage", "antique", etc.

 

Price?  All across the board; basically whatever the buyer is willing to spend.  Others here can offer better guesses.  My guess would be $50-$75, especially if it's not working.  If it's actually cooling then a higher price could be expected.

Looks like all parts are there.  It would take some time and effort, but that fridge would clean up nicely. 

 

I suggest plugging it into an outlet strip that has its own breaker to test it for cooling.  If it doesn't operate properly, it will be difficult to find an interested buyer.  If it runs fine, then I'd say it's worth about $100 as is.

 

I have the 1957 version of this fridge and I consider the freezer light a real luxury item.  It looks like yours even has the adjustable butter conditioner, which mine does not.  :-(

Hi there! I am wondering if there is any chance you still have this fridge/freezer? . I am desperately looking for a replacement part (that little gold decorative piece that's behind the lower handle) as mine fell off on the highway when transporting it after purchase. I'm googling the model number and trying to find anyone who may have one that they may not want to keep and haven't been able to sell. I know it's a long shot, but figured I'd ask just in case
