Depends upon contact terms and or who owns merchandise being offered at auction.
For estate sales auction house may have only been contracted to have just the one go. Anything that doesn't sell remains in home/with estate and whoever owns the stuff retains possession.
Sometimes an auction house will work with winning bidder and "hold" won merchandise from say an estate sale at their offices or some other storage. There may be a charge for providing this service (surprise, surprise), but does give out of area winning bidders some breathing room.
Keep in mind with H-Bid and other auction houses things aren't like fleaPay. They have CC information from time of registration and TOS explicity state card will be charged final hammer price not long after auction ends and there are *NO* refunds or exceptions.
Since they've already been paid holding onto an item (if possible) may not be an issue.
Above being said as it relates to this group there's a world of difference between holding say this GE mini-basket compared to washing machine it came from. Usually large appliances must be collected per terms of sale. No one is going to be hauling huge appliances off site to "store". Again auction company may have only limited access to place where appliance is located.
