GE Americana Portable

Wow, that is almost exactly the dishwasher I had for the first 10 years of my life. Ours had knobs instead of the pushbuttons, but otherwise exactly like it in that it had the impeller and the two upper half racks. Although ours was a portable, we had it hooked up to its own faucet allowing it to remain stationary. When we got rid of it, we removed the top and gave it to my aunt to use as a cutting board. Thanks for posting this; it is a blast from the past.

Vintage GE 40" push button range - $100 (Schenectady, NY

For sale is a white 40" (39") range, everything works, clock, timers, burners oven, counter light. It also has 2 110v outlets (one is controlled by a timer). It has 3 storage drawers, rotisserie in the original box, and original owners manual. The range is in great shape for its age, ony acouple of small chips in the porcelain finish and some scratches. It was a former showroom model with instructions on how to hook it up to work on 110v so you can operate just the lighting, clock, and outlets. We hate to sell it but its really too big for our small kitchen.

I want it gone ASAP!! I'm open to any offers.

Thanks for looking.

Reply 82....

That 'thud' you may have heard was me fainting when I saw the Americana dishwasher....  It looks as if it is in very good condition.   This looks very much like the much-fabled coppertone dishwasher that I remember a family having in the first neighbourhood where we lived in Pointe-Claire (they had all-GE everything in the house and the kitchen and laundry appliances were all coppertone, TOL models!!)
