"Power Saver"
While the term "Power Saver" was a great buzzword in the later '70s, it actually heralded the end of GE's most desirable feature - SensiTemp.
The "Power Saver" was nothing much more than the old three-size element used on SensiTemp burners, which could be adjusted to heat a four-inch, six-inch or eight-inch diameter of the burner, less the SensiTemp sensor and responder.
It was actually a lessening of what had gone before, but only the most savvy consumers would have known in spite of the ad-speak that they were getting less than had been provided on previous models.
Convenience outlets were also gone by this time. However, one new feature had been added - not that anyone I know is a fan of it.
It was "Push to Turn" burner controls. HatehatehatehateHATE.
