Vintage Hamilton Beech Chrome Toaster

The other day I went to a thrift store here in my area and I came across this Hamilton Beech toaster. It was in such great condition and for $2.95, I couldn't pass it up.

I brought it home and took some chrome polish and it cleaned up well. The model says "2T" or "T2" (I can't remember which).

Does anyone know when this toaster was made? It has the cloth cord which I think is really cool!

I am not sure of the full length of this model's manufacture run but my grandfather bought it for my grandma for Christmas of 1959.  As long as she used it it had a red wreath like seal on the side stating it was guaranteed for 5 years,

That's a particularly handsome toaster.  For the price, I would not have passed it up either.
