Can the the adjusting screw completely shut off the gas to the pilots? I want to be able to just light the burners with a long-reach butane lighter (no standing pilot). https://tucson.craigslist.org/app/d/tucson-vintage-hardwick-range-oven/7414901354.html

It appears to be a good stove, from the era when these were true Hardwick ranges.
