well
thats better than a pump leak. i have a couple of those 12's but both of mine are gravity drain if i remember correctly. pretty sure that model also came with a drain pump on some models, correct me if i'm wrong members. i'm thinking it could just be something loose, or possibly leaking around the drain valve if it's a gravity drain model.
to properly diagnose it someone will have to look at it with the panel off again and get more info. i dont see any appliance repair guys even wanting to touch it.
they usually tell you it's non repairable which may not be true.
if you don't know of a handyman type person who is good at general fixing of things plumbing related i don't have an answer unfortunately. i'm sure we have members in calif somewhere. whether they would want to look at it is another story. could you advertise locally for a fix it type person to look at it and take pics. even if we had pics of where the leak is we could possibly tell someone how to fix it.
if you decide to get another dishwasher please don't pitch this one. i'm sure someone would buy it as a parts machine or maybe even fix it. i have 2 dishwashers that came from calif that i had shipped to ohio about 10 years ago.
we really need pics of what s going on under that panel that comes off, that is the first step.
maybe that helps?
