That Roto-swirl saw LOTS of hot water, bleach and detergent. Never used bakelite gleams.

Agreed. The control panel shows signs of use and general exposure as well.
I give you a third notion on that one!
It's definitely a nice looking wringer especially with that ramped up roto-swirl!
If that machine had never been used you would not see the worn off paint on the lettering on the control panel. And that agitator is the ashiest black I've ever seen for not being used. (Tis a bunch of Boo Hookey!)
And is it my imagination or am I correct in seeing that the top of the wringer unit is missing?
