It looks like they just assembled this and it's ready to use. (minus one handle end un-attached).

Are those Caloric burners or something else?  I’ve seen those before, but I can’t remember where.  They intrigued me at the time, because they seemed like such a clever idea.  The homeowner could install as few or as many pairs as needed, all around the kitchen.

They are Caloric, these have the center simmer burners.
