Circa 1989. I wouldn’t mind having this set but probably would like the push button rapid advance model better. Both are pretty rare these days.
IMHO many buying these vintage washers at such auctions are simply fed up with modern offerings, and thus looking for something better.
Word is out on YT and elsewhere that "old school" washing machines are a better bet than what's on offer nowadays.
Believe many collectors or vintage appliance aficionados might or are certainly interested when things like this KA set are brought to their attention. But these auctions work often on a very set time frame.
From what one has seen most of appliances offered at auction largely are part of estate sales. Usually there is only one day with a short window of time to collect won item. Payment is due at once (when hammer drops), and if not collected is forfeited. Shipping is not always offered or an option, so unless a collector is local or can get a reliable shipper in there, it's usually not worth bothering.

I've hesitate noodling around that site 'cause we know how dangerous it's to our living spaces and sanity. Decided "Fuck it" and dived in head first. All I can say is WOW.

Touchpanels and control boards are long NLA, other than possible board repair services.
Pics 9 and 12, the dryer includes the piggy-back softener sheet dispenser.

Second know even most ardent members of this site have limits.
That Getz washer would make an interesting project, especially for a museum piece. Timken roller bearings were also used extensively on steam locomotives.

These are crazy times for all of us!
Even in best of situations anything but a close local appliance deal done was a chore, but have seen over past few years...
Think largest issue for major appliances and these auctions is they again largely are at estate sales. Those sellers usually by contractual agreement only have access to a property for limited time. For obvious reasons they also won't be moving said major appliances to their offices to be held for future collection.

If I can recall, those Electronic KA was the debut model when they started selling Washers and Dryers in the mid-80s.

No high spin speed, even in the Regular/Heavy cycle?

My 1991/92 KA has stepped-spin. Normal runs 2 mins of low spin then high for remainder of the time. Perm Press final spin runs two mins of each extra-low, low, and high.

Action became quite heavy in last moments of auction. Did anyone go after this unit?
