The silverware basket is like the GE I grew up with. It also looks like a power-tower above the wash arm.

I think that's a Hotpoint (99.9% GE with a Hotpoint label); I remember that style from some cut-sheets I've got lying around somewhere. I'll have to dig them out because I forgot what the dial is. Might be the switch for the Rinse-Glo dispenser, but it looks like it's got one of those already. If only it were closer...

These weren't made after 1966 maybe 1967 at the latest with that pump and motor design.

That is for the different cycle selectioins.

I believe it enables you to choose regular or Potsmasher wash. If it were TOL, it might even have the option of the shortened, no-heat China & Crystal cycle. The Potsmasher extends the wash into the first rinse to give about 7 or 8 extra minutes of washing. Seems funny that Hotpoint would not have cycle pushbuttons since they were the pushbutton kings in the 50s, but Hotpoint had the little dial under the timer to choose the cycles while GE had the buttons.

I almost think that little dark emblem under the unicouple is the stylized Hotpoint H.

This appears to be a JCPenny Penncrest late 60's early 70's
Use and care book from 1968
The rinse aid dial was inside on this era machine...I believe it moved out front as a more visible feature
