West Saugerties, hmmm.

Hard to say. Not clear pictures, but what I think I see are buttons that look like ones on the '20 series. Seems like a lot of dishwasher manufacturers pumped out some top loaders well after I thought they were discontinued. Also, there is clearly an overflow sensor on the bottom of that tub that wasn't on many of the early KA top-loaders. Not too far from my uncle who I am going to be visiting next week. Maybe a little side trip is warranted.

I have a similar KA with the same problem, pressure switch wouldn't work & you couldn't leave it when using it as it would overfill, you had to listen to make sure it didn't overfill. It completely quit working & I have no idea what's wrong with it.

KA PORTABLE DW

Its real late 60s or early 1970s in the end KA deleted the nice cast handle from the front. I have a mid 1960s coppertone one in my kitchen which is used if I am to lazy to unload the other two built in machines and I am in a hurry to clean up the kitchen. Its a KD-5. Sensi-temp if your machine over fills its either not pumping out properly or the inlet valve is bad, or the even the timer could be sticking. The overflow switch is just a safety back up and doesn't cause the basic problem your is having. These are easy machines to fix and the parts can be found the main pump and motor are the same as the built in machines.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that it's a '68 Varicycle. All 3 push buttons are together, (rinse/hold, Utinsel and Utility, Full Cycle). On the '70s modle, 2 push button were together (Full cycle, Rinse/Hold) and Soak cycle was spaced from the other two. I've always wanted one of thses. The first time I saw a topload Kitchenaid up close and in person, (must have been about 10 yrs old)I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
