We had a 1960 International Harvester Travelall in our store, in service for 30 years. Easy to load appliances onto the tailgate, since it was so low when open. That was because the gas tank was not in the back--it was under the back seat.

Also of note, in the show Friends, they had an IH refrigerator.

Oh the stories I could tell...

You would be surprised to hear about the items I would find behind those solid condensers on the backs of old traded-in refrigerators. The things people would put on the tops of their ice boxes! I remember stuff like wrist watches, transistor radios, and the occasional nasty magazine...most of which I had little use for since I had no interest in knowing where cooties came from.

I gave my BIL the same 'fridge about 20 years ago. It's still working in his garage.

 

The C/L ad says the compressor comes on, but doesn't say anything about the refrigerator cooling properly. Buyer beware?
