Vintage Simplex Mangle

My mother had one of these, but I don't remember her ever using it. Being the last of eight children I suppose she was too worn out by the time I came along!

Does anybody else remember these...?

Yes, I remember these machines, and really like seeing them. The one you have pictured appears to be in amazingly good condition. What often happens to these machines is that they are eventually moved to a garage for storage, and there they rust further, and get dinged up even more. Thanks for posting this. Does anyone know if Simplex was a high end brand?

I don't know if Simplex was a high end brand or not, perhaps somebody else will know...

The one my mother had sat in the basement with a sheet over if for many years. I think she finally sold it in the mid 80's.
