Looks a little dirty, but maybe I'm being over-critical?

Ad reads:

" This rare and wonderful stove has low miles, is in great shape, clean, and ready to adorn your mid century modern home. Oven door is shiny stainless inside. Cool! Good luck finding another range of this vintage and quality for your electric kitchen.

Standard 30" width, SHALLOW DEPTH! That's right, the front of this baby sits flush with your cabinets. Try buying one like that today! Standard 220v, plug it in and start channeling your inner Julia Child. Push button stovetop controls show different color lights depending on heat level. Remember the push button automatics on the 50's Chryslers? Sweet.

Works great, even the clock works and keeps great time. It's as if time stood still, its 1957 again with all the chrome and beautiful details. And the gorgeous Butter Yellow color truly makes it one of a kind.

GE model# J-304, made with pride in Louisville, Kentucky. Standard size burner elements never go out of style, and are always available. Even the original brochures are available for download. Check it out: http://www.automatice.org/cgi-bin/index.cgi?showdoc~737~General Electric~RA

Still plugged in, come see it work. I originally listed this for $500. Hurry! First $340 cash gets it, bring your truck, van or trailer.

Easy pick up near 280 and 85 free ways. "

sigh..

The good stuff is always so far away. I love that buttery yellow of GE's, but you never see it in this area. Which is odd since GE was manufactured in louisville. Guess it wasn't as popular as plain white in this are.

I posted this same stove a week or so ago.  The seller is going to have to keep coming down with the price, regardless of how rare a model it is.

Phil, I'm counting on you to track down a GE Frost Guard bottom freezer with articulated shelves in my vicinity!

Burners:

The seller is being more than a little optimistic about the burners!

The three "regular" burners aren't something just sitting on the shelf at Home Depot - they're old-style wire-in Calrod units.

The parts to fix the Automatic Calrod burner are pretty much unobtanium.

Most of the ranges I've found need a complete take-apart and detail cleaning anyway, but our standards are probably higher than average.  I'd be happy with the as-found state of this range compared to some I've seen.

Oddly, our Habitat store had a stack of these  wired Calrod elements one day, a few even NOS still in packages.

Even Harder to Find:

If I interpret the sales literature I have correctly, these surface units aren't even Tilt-Lock Calrods, just regular ones that don't hold themselves in the raised position for cleaning.

Greg, is your pink 'un equipped with Tilt-Lock burners?

Phil

Check out this active thread for an example (although they made this type with minor interior/exterior changes into the mid-'60s):
