Wow! a 27" Hotpoint DW. Those are getting rare. Nice looking WH range, too. Both are a little pricey.

That Frigidaire range with the hob units brings back memories - and not good ones, either. They were incredibly stubborn about heating up and cooling down. And like every other "easy-clean" range type introduced in my lifetime, they came with instructions to use special polish to maintain their looks.

They were certainly all the rage while the craze lasted. People did everything but burn their houses down to have an excuse to buy one.

Didn't take long for everyone to return to their senses.

That Philco..

Is I think one with no drip pans...The top raises up and the bowls are made into the cover of the oven, the units on these dont lift up.

My aunt despite being into "latest trends" in stuff didn't buy a Solid Disc surface unit Frigidaire, either...

A coil-top that wasn't even self-cleaning, which undoubtedly out-lasted all the rest of her appliances (even when she'd gone Maytag, at least for her washer)...

Come to think of it my in-laws' GE cook top that came w/ the house they live in now had solid disc elements (and now the cook-top is a GLASS GE one!)...

Yeh, this was a rare moment that Frigidaire actually made something better (not necessarily THAT better) than GE could try to do (and Tappan's own line as well as Mont. Ward's lines tried this, as well)...!
