Is that a 14 Series?

That looks like it has the holes for a rinse aid dispenser. Is that what they are for? Would this model have a detergent dispenser as well?

I was thinking the same think about rinse aid dispenser. This is a KDC14 because of the horizontal flip to start switch between the door handle and the KA brand name/logo. I had a cousin who moved into a house in 1970 and it had a KDC14 and it didn't have a detergent dispenser, just the little strainer that went in the flatware basket. If I remember correctly, only the KDI14 & KDS14 had the actual detergent dispenser because their cycle sequence had a prewash.

Maybe someone can tell us if they used the 12 series racks in the 14 machines for a while at the beginning of their run, but the KCC-14 I had did not have these racks from the 12 line. There was no detergent dispenser, it was just a small SS basket hanging in the flatware basket. One wash and two rinses. You could add the optional rinse aid dispenser, the terminals on the timer and electrical block were already there.

Hard to tell about the rust..

Looks like it could be only the silverware basket that's badly rusted. Thanks for calling this one out to me Bob. I'd love to go after it but I have promised no more until I have a dedicated space for them. Looks like it's about six hours away.

So....I'm looking at options :)! We have an 18X30 sunroom that he thinks I should take half of and turn it into a place to store and play with these machines. Has power. Water would be an expensive proposition. I'd rather buy a new house with a dedicated shop of sorts that has power and water already there. We'll see how it plays out.
