I was always bored senseless by soap powder adverts but enjoyed anything humorous like the PG Tips tea chimps. In the '60s between each ad. there was a sort of collapsing star effect that they never use these days.
I would like to see evidence to back up the claim:
"A million housewives every day
pick up a tin of beans and say,
“Beanz meanz Heinz!”"
