Westinghouse! If there's interest in this stove or parts of her, let me know quickly before this one makes the final journey. Now that the wife's doing well and my life has started to return to normal, I'll be catching up on sending people their parts...

Ditto. Foil under the burner bowls tells the story.

An excellent stove and worth saving for those members who might be on the fence about it.

Terrace top?

I think I ran into a "terrace top" once. Is that the staggered burners? Two high and two low?
If so, I was at an estate sale and saw a MINT MINT turquoise "terrace-top" Westinghouse range in the "extra" apartment above the main house.
They simply would not sell the unit.
Seriously, I wanted to buy the house just to get the range!

After freaking out with my turq washer & dryer, don't know if I should mention this, oh well, I have a pink terrace top with chrome knobs. It's covered up in my garage, don't remember if it has any nicks but otherwise very clean!! It was an e-bay find from Detroit a couple of years ago, a friend of the seller has a cottage near me & brought it when they came out, only had to go about 30 miles to pick it up. I suppose you'd like to see it?

I had posted a similar stove from a Wards catalogue, here it is again spring/summer 1963.alr2903

Wow, Coppertone in 1963? That had to be one of the very first Coppertone appliances to hit the showroom floor!

Coppertone

Dan, Coppertone was actually a rather popular color by '63. Frigidaire had introduced their Aztec Copper in '59, and most others followed by around '61 or so. My Mom's friend Glenna C. had her kitchen done over in '63, with GE appliances in Coppertone. Several relatives and family friends in Mississippi built new homes in the late 50's - early 60's with either GE Woodtone Brown or various brands of Coppertone appliances. The color seemed to very popular in the south; more so than here. Perhaps it was not as widely used in your part of the country.

....and a nice Westinghouse ...er better make that RCA Whirl

actually the fridge in the ad is an RCA Whirlpool...it says so in one of the pictures...PAT COFFEY

RCA Whirlpool fridge

What a gorgeous fridge! My aunt and uncle have a coppertone top freezer model from the same era at the cabin. It works like a charm and is so quiet a person has to walk right up to it to hear the compressor. And interestingly enough, they also have at the cabin a Westinghouse electric stove like the one pictured above, except that it's a freestanding model. Everything still works on it, including the full-length florescent work surface light and analog clock.

Wish I needed a fridge; this is right in my backyard....
