"Vintage" Westinghouse Washer

Appears to be a Frigidaire WO-65 (or WO65-2) next to it.
I like it!
This is the first I've seen of a vintage FL machine with suds saver.
It appears to still have the same arrangement as the early Laundromats with water temperature integrated into the length of the wash period on the timer, but I can't quite make out the lettering on the dial.
But what? No weigh-to-save? Did they think that was redundant on a suds saver?
An interesting and desirable machine for sure. Glad it's not near me!

I think the “suds saver” may have just been the model year version of “weight to save”, because there are selection choices for small, reg and large, like the weight to save version, but without the scale in the door, just simply a water level control.
I like the basic simplicity of this machine. In 1981 I had one like this for a few days, that I bought used. It started acting up, not spinning. So the dealer I bought it from took it back and very nicely applied what I’d already paid to a new Maytag Fabricmatic. But I wished the Westinghouse wouldn’t have had problems, I did like it.

Ah, yes! This has been posted before, a year ago perhaps more.
The machine next to it is indeed a WO65 but that is definitely not for sale - I know the owner. He is not a member here, but he knows the site well.

Yes, Suds and water saver, was just their advertising hype to advertise the fact that their machines use less sudsand water, also played on the fact that they did not offer a true suds-saver.
This would be a fun washer nice basic machine that would get the job done this was my favorite vintage era of Westinghouse front load washers the wide cabinet +2 Hydraulic shocks made these the most stable Westinghouses and yet still have the classic slant front design.

This was the BOL for 1963, the first year the current W logo (Introduced in 1960) was used on Laundromats and Dryers. This model did not have the 'Weigh to Save' door with infinite water level selection, though
