I think the “suds saver” may have just been the model year version of “weight to save”, because there are selection choices for small, reg and large, like the weight to save version, but without the scale in the door, just simply a water level control.
I like the basic simplicity of this machine. In 1981 I had one like this for a few days, that I bought used. It started acting up, not spinning. So the dealer I bought it from took it back and very nicely applied what I’d already paid to a new Maytag Fabricmatic. But I wished the Westinghouse wouldn’t have had problems, I did like it.
