Vorwerk Collector Site

Found a nice collector site, wich I think is worth sharing with the others.
It is mainly about Vorwerk vaccum cleaners and only in German, but there are loads of nice pictures to view.
Vorwerk is a German direct selling vaccum cleaner brand but they also sold washing machines until the 1970s which were actually AEGs.
If You click on "Heißluftduschen" on the left menu You can see how a VC converts to a hair dryer. yuck !

Fantastic site, the first time I discovered it I spent a good few hours reading it through. If you follow the "Translation" link towards the top of the left-hand menu, there is an automated English translation available; not perfect, but it does at least allow one to get the gist of what is being said. The sections about the hair dryer and cattle/horse grooming accessories are fascinating!

I used to have a VK130, which I loved to bits other than for the fact that it was hopelessly unreliable. In the space of 18 months it was sent back and forth between myself and Vorwerk for a new powerhead, 2 replacement handgrips and 2 speed control circuit boards. Eventually sold it on eBay while it was still under guarantee, and I now use a Kirby Ultimate G instead, which I've been very happy with. From what I can gather, the VK130 was plagued with teething troubles, but the older fan-first ones were much sturdier and more reliable.
