Want Coppertone front panels for KA KD-17 series front loader

In mint or close condition, will panels from KD-16, KD-18 or any other series work? Anyone with a parts book? The upper panel is part C102121-4 and lower is A102123-4, the last single digit is indication of color option, in this case -4 means Coppertone. Thanks for any help with this...

why not paint them yourself?.......you could get plain sheet of metal, you may even find appliance touch-up paint in coppertone.....I know they have white, almond, and harvest gold

I got Stainless steel sheets from Lowes, cut to fit, and updated my dishwasher and compactor to match the stove and fridge for around 25.00.......

The issue is the shaded Coppertone effect, which is hard to duplicate well by the amateur restorer (ie me). Plus I always prefer factory if I can find em.

well for those who can't do it at home......

there are choices.......purchasing from a member if they have one, try and find one at an appliance parts store, ebay, or take it to an auto paint shop and have them professionally paint it for you, to the exact color and shading......

yes, it can be done.....between purchasing the panel and paint, labor or shipping and handling charges....it can cost you a pretty penny....but you will get exactly what your looking for.....

many members have had complete repaint jobs to many appliances.....and they look outstanding.....almost showroom new!....and you wouldn't know the difference!

or shop around for a machine in a model and color you want........anything is possible!.......

COPPERTONE PANELS FOR A KD-17 DW

Only panels for a 16 or 17 DW will fit your 17 machine. Are you trying to match another coppertone appliance?. KAs coppertone color did not completely match any other makers shaded coppertone, so if you are going the custom repainting for your panels you might have them painted to match the stove or what ever other appliance that you have.

Will go the re-paint route if I absolutely have to, but would prefer to find nice original panels if I can, which will need to be from a KD 16 or 17 according to combo52 - thanks John! ... to go on a KDC-17 that is currently Harvest Gold, or whatever KA called that color. Still looking for a Coppertone gas range and fridge as well.

How would one know the correct paints to use for the base Coppertone shade and the darker shaded edging? I do have an opportunity to get a nice Kenmore fridge that does indeed have a different Coppertone shade than the KDC-17 in my first house, it looks to be a richer and more intense brown than my memory of the KA color.

Simplest method would be to take the Fridge with you to an M-A-B paint store or Maaco Auto paint.....or even Lowes or HomeDepot....they have this scanner that can scan the color, and mix up an exact match.....

I have the whole dishwasher, and it is close to flawless. I am not into the coppertone color, so I could help you out. I would sell the whole dishwasher or just the panels.
