Hey all,
So you know how so far, I've just been guessing via what I can find online about the model number of my new/used dryer? Well, that is no more.
I now have an app on my phone that will read aloud text to me on any document in the world basically, as long as the text is clear. Not only is this awesome in that I can finally read my own mail and such without sighted help, but I was able to use it to read the model sticker on my dryer, all on my own. This might not seem like much, but this opens up a whole world of possibilities for me as a blind person. It also has a built in accessible camera, so I should be able to upload pictures of my dryer very soon.
And in case anyone is curious, I was very close on what model of dryer I have but not exactly right. According to the sticker inside the door, the model number is WED5300VW. From my research, it appears this dryer was manufactured in either '09 or '10. Is this correct? It appears to be a near top of the line model from that time.
Just wanted to share my exciting news.
