Looking for a new washer/dryer set and considering FL Speed Queen (AFNE9BSP113TW01). Would love to hear your personal experiences. The warranty on SQ's website appears to have some limitations (as they all do), but good to know what others have encountered. Already read the post last year from the guy (David ?)with two disabled kids and his go around for service which he finally received. Hope that was an isolated case.

Thanks in advance!

Last year, my Huebsch dryer (Canadian Speed Queen) decided to infinitely dry clothing if the timer was set to an automatic cycle. The timed cycle still worked so we could still dry our clothing. It had given me three years of trouble free service before that.

Called up the place I bought it from, described the problem to the tech. They knew exactly what the problem was. The tech came over two days later and "shotgunned" the problem by replacing the thermostat and timer. Did the job in less than 30 minutes and with no charge.

Was highly impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the tech. He mentioned to me that he loved working on Huebsch equipment because it was designed to be serviced.

Judging from that experience, I would certainly buy Huebsch products again. If I had bought any other brand, I get the feeling it would have been an expensive repair.

David's Washer

Since the repairs the washer works just as it did when brand new. The machine still averages 25-30 loads of laundry a week. That average will probable be going up as my 13 year old daughter will be having major surgery here shortly and will be bed ridden for quite some time. My daughter is having 13 disks in her back fused due to idiopathic scoliosis.

Speed Queen Repairs/Warranty

Thank you to all of you for your feedback as I am looking for the "positive and negative" to get a general idea of experiences. Not a lot of replies either way so hopefully that is a sign there have not been many reasons for repairs. (:

David: I am so sorry to hear about all you and your family are going through with medical issues. I hope you have a support system as just the laundry alone sounds exhausting and of course there is much more to it than that. Blessings to you and yours.

P.S. Glad to hear your SQ is holding up like new again. You definitely need that!
