So I have 2 of these machines in an old maids room of the property I run. I think both don’t need much to run. I believe an inlet valve is stuck open on one machine and I’m not sure either machine advances the cycle cards to run a complete wash beginning to end and therefore it sometimes stays on a single part of the wash. Can I eliminate the old card system for something simpler like a cycle selection switch? These are commercial machines so I’m assuming parts won’t be as difficult to find. Any help s greatly appreciated.

Wascomat card readers

Are usually pretty reliable if the card remains in one place it could be a part of the card is worn and is slipping, Would these be heated versions? That makes them stay in one place as they heat and also its worth giving the card and the reader a clean as dust and fibres clog it up.

Am sure a man of your talent would be able to make a good machine out of the 2

Alternative controls

The card reader is a bit sticky I think but maybe the cards are the issue as well, I’m not sure. Did they make other controls for these machines as opposed to the card reader. Something that’s a little more user friendly for anyone using them?

Machines in a commercial property might run on 208 V.

Wascomat made other models of washing machines at time, but Flex-O-Matic was it far as card reading washers was concerned.

Card reading washers were everywhere on commercial and even some domestic h-axis washing machines at one time. They filled a niche until microprocessor/computer and or "electronic" machines came along.

3 Phase

Yes I believe this runs on 3 phase power. A convenient option to have in the property for running lots of commercial grade equipment.
