Wash Haus of GaGa Summer Makeover and Updates

Hey all, the Wash Haus of GaGa has received it's Summer makeover and it's official re-opening was on the 1st of July. It is the perfect home from home for my slowly increasing vintage collection.

Finally all 3 machines currently in my collection are in great condition and operable. To celebrate the re-opening I've wheeled out my pride and joy, Dilys the HMDL 3314L from January 1975. She recently received a new motor but it was from an old Single Tub so the timer does not function but I'm happy to use it as an on/off switch for now until I get a later style timer for her.

Dilys just has to get a timer and a new pump (can be a bit temperamental and leaks from time to time where the valve protrudes) to make her 100% restored but that 95% is ok for now until them parts are bought and posted to here.

Tonight I received a call from nice lady 45 mins away from me in Inishowen. She was giving away a HMDL T5090 for free and it sounds to be in good condition as it was in use up until recently. The spinner trips the electrics and I have a feeling it could be the suppressor as was the case with my 3314L in which I merely bypassed and it worked again no bother. It will be coming next week and therefore I have examples of the 2nd and last HMDL's. Nice score.

I would like to find a 1980's Hotpoint Automatic and Supermatic De Luxe before Summer's gone.

Hi all, thanks for the feedback so far.

The red boxes are brackets of some sort which I don't have a clue what they're for.

This shed is very old, and was a large hen house at one stage, later used for storing cereal crops until it was used as a general store.

So is the HMDL T5090 a good catch or not? I need informaticn etc.

Assuming that its been cared for (fingers crossed), the only thing likely to be visually wrong with it is that the front panel sticker will have gone yellow. But I am sure that you can live with that, bearing in mind the enjoyment you will get from it.

The decorating job is great. Congratulations.

Yes it has been in use as a machine for small, quick loads up until recently so I assume it will be ok at least. I'll be getting it during next week, I can't wait to try it out as there will be a few internal as well as external differences between it and the 3314L... which is awaiting a new pump on eBay if I win it at a neat price. I only need the top half though and the original's screws are stuck so I'll just swap the halves and keep the other half and base as a spare.

I NEED TO FIND AN ELECTRIC TIMER FOR THE 3314L TOO! AS FITTED TO T5024 ONWARDS.
ANYBODY GOT ONE FOR SALE?

Thanks for complementing the work on the shed too, it is splendid and now I have a 1970's Smiths Timecal Kitchen Timer to play with and to add to the shed. It was £3 on eBay and it was new and boxed!
