Hello all: first post here

I have a Maytag Model: A107A Series: 03 Serial: 822709
115v/60hz

Whenever I try to run any cycle, the washer will start good and fill up as normal, but then when it gets full it starts draining, but it is still supplying water as well. I have no clue what the issue is (seeing as this is my first washer living on my own).

Picture 1 explains the draining and filling.

The gooseneck on the hose, where it connects to the red hose, needs to be as high as the lid of the machine.

Also be aware that depending on how long the red hose is, that could also cause syphoning regardless of the height of the hose, you need an airbreak if you're going to extend the hose that far.

If you can get the drain hose into the stationary tub that's next to the washer and have it drain into that it will easily solve your issue with the hose. Ideally you want the hose not to be too long but long enough to reach where it's draining at the correct height. The sink does that for you.

Poor kid, he just didn't know! You have to keep the drain hose up to about the height of the back of the machine for it to operate properly. Otherwise the water just runs out.

Also, it looks like your drain hose is too small in diameter.  The pump out time with a smaller hose like this will be longer than normal, and may not allow allow enough full speed spin time.

That hose you're using should be able to fit INSIDE the correct size drain hose normally used on a Maytag like this one.
