I was out for a week+ from 9/23 for long-time friend's 50th birthday extravaganza in Swanee/Merriam KS on 9/28. Have known the family for 40+ years, the older brother and sister were on the first crew at the theater, the younger sister followed in her time. Her birthdate is 9/30 but she rightly recognizes the entire month as Susantember.
Anyway ... family members (which includes moi) arrived early to work on the party prep. It was brought to attention a few days-in that her washing machine is exhibiting drain failures, could I possibly at least diagnose the problem? Drain failure as in it's increasingly often found with water remaining after a finished cycle. The pump is electric so reasonably is the fault (pic 1). Confirmation needed, of course, which I garnered by running a couple Speed Wash cycles and noted that the pump sounded increasingly unhealthy until it couldn't get going to drain the rinse water on the second run. It worked again after cooling while the part was obtained, which goes along with the report that running a Drain/Spin later works when finding a failed drain.

The four family guests stayed at an Airbnb which had:
- A Maytag Gemini electric range, which I was surprised to note that both oven cavities are self-cleaning (although neither had been cleaned in some while).
- A MT impeller VMW washer MVWC400XW3 (serial 2012), which is in expectedly icky condition and scent (pics 2 & 3).
- A KM 90 Series gas dryer (serial 2002), also grungy (pics 4 & 5).
- An LG dishwasher which worked the first night, then failed with a drain fault on the second night. A cursory investigation found that the drain hose is double-length and lying on the cabinetry floor up to the disposer connection, vice versa of correct. The disposer had been used on the 2nd day. I'm sure it's a recurring problem. A message was sent to the host with details accordingly.
