I seem to be chronicling our tour by taking pix of washers... We are now in Kingston, visiting my Alma Mater Queens University where I studied law. Kingston is still lovely, and fortunately most of the stone buildings circa 1860-1880 still exist. If any of you ever get here, you have to eat at Chez Piggy.

Here are some pix of the Kenmore 90 at the current house we are renting.

Cheers

My parents have been using an equivalent 110.20907990 for the past 5 years that I refurbed.  It's a year older (serial CJ) and the console is almond (to match the machine) with red highlights.

It's a really great machine. Too many options. I like when you select the hot wash, it's actually a HOT wash, no water mixing. I also like the pauses before the drains. Have to say though, it's a bit noisy. Small price to pay for clean clothes. Wish I could take it home. Will take some pix of the dryer tomorrow. I thought it took a long time to dry, until I realized it automatically went into wrinkle free cycle. For like a few hours...

Ok, here are some dryer, stove, and dishwasher pix. You'll see from the dial how it goes into wrinkle care mode. The stove, well, it's weird. There's a toggle switch beside the outlet, but it doesn't do anything. I tried plugging the coffe maker into it, it worked regardless of the switching. There is also no click. The other switch is for the oven light. The door on the dishwasher seems very flimsy, but I LOVE the lower rack.

Cheers.

Update - we needed a mini vacay between visiting families, and making the transition from Hanukkah to Christmas. We are on our way to Muskoka which has become the summer retreat for the elite. Our family have been there before it became ruined, and über expensive. In any event we rented a small home enroute, and they have these amazing machines. The washer has onboard heating, the dryer will pause, then reverse direction and also has like a wrinkle guard and keeps tossing the clothes until they are removed. They must have been made in Canada, because they have French & English. Sorry they’re blurred, my Parkinson’s is acting up.
