Washing bedding in vintage TLs -- where am I going wrong?!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Since you have used all kinds of machines in different models from different manufacturers from different eras, how well do dual action agitators do with air pockets in sheets?

Can't say for sure Sean, the only washer I have with a Dual-Action agitator is in the modern room, it's a 1983 first generation of Kenmore direct-drive washers. My BF uses that machine along with the LG front loader that came from his old house. Its rare he does any wash, but when he does he uses two machines.

I'll have to try that same load in here and let you know sometime.

Thank you Mark for the kind words, yes the souped-up Maytag was a cool machine to experiment with!!

I think the fast agitation combined with a dual action agitator will do well with turning over sheets in the 1983 Kenmore direct drive you have. I’d imagine it would turnover a small to medium load of sheets like a Frigidaire Unimatic would do to the fast agitation. Doesn’t spin as fast or rinse like a Unimatic would, though.
