Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

All these ownderful machienes.. I am just drooling all over the laptop...
I want the new roto rack dishwasher!!

Classic Design, classic look

Good machienes in my book

If my ex had one, i'd go find a (cough, cough) GE for him from Salvation Army and make this one out to be a real dog and make the GE out be soo great.... Then take this for me..

I am not nice to EX's am I???

Any way, great washer

Classic Whirlpool

My Whirlpool is identical to Gary's, except:

Mine has three water levels (Sm/Med/Lg)...

Mine has a temperature selector knob, no buttons (H/W/C)...

Mine has a "Super Surgilator" agitator (straight vane)...

Mine isn't a Supreme and has no bleach dispenser...I can't stand them anyway....

Can you see why I'd never get rid of it?

Especially when you see what they are selling, now?

My Whirlpool is identical to Gary's,

That machine belongs to the ex. It now sits next to the New Maytag Performa dryer that I bought for him last week(See 'Frustrated' thread in Super Forum).

I believe that the washing action is just way too fast. It goes into a slower wash towards the end of the cycle. But still does a great job.

Steve is going to adjust the water level since the water does not come to the top of the tub when it is set to Max.

LOL, I am?

Well at least your ex was happy that I solved "the linting problem" when I did his laundry at his place, while showing him how and giving lessons.

Can't really recommend "medium" water setting and a full tub of clothing, now can we? LOL

That boy has NO clue....
Gotta love him though for trying.

G-Wuzzit you that posted the pic of the Maytag Dependable Care washer recently? Can't find it, nor can I locate the machine (sigh)...

The Maytags I like better for somewhat gentler wash action...yes, I hear you, the whirling-dervish routine does get tired on the Whirlpool, and I do use the gentle cycle on it far more than on any of my other machines...

But it gets the job done, well, and quickly, with very minor problems. I will probably always make space for it.

Never have I had problems with low water level. (Shhhh.)

Going forward, I believe these machines WILL be bonafide classics.

Scott,

What a memory. Yup. It was me! Steve and I got the DC Maytag together. He actually rigged the lid switch so that the washer would stay operational with the lid up. We had fun playing with that machine when it arrived.

Here is 'our' washer:

THAT'S the one, thank you!

I'm not happy with what I'm seeing with these Maytag "Legacy" machines that are popping up....definitely willing to pay more for the real deal (or something as close to that as possible...)

I have a couple of Maytag center-dial TLs in storage....alas no time or money to restore, yet.

I know it's a troubled brand, but, are all the others really any better?

Thanks again.....

SO i know

This one is similar to the Old style maytags not the crappy newer ones???

My aunt has one that she's replaced everything but the water inlet valve and timer and it's only 4 years old!
