Washing machines that fit down narrow stairwell

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

yeah, but a lot of times, the machines and equipment are down there already, and then people decide to build and close stuff in without thinking of constraints to get this stuff out, or install new.....

this may be the same issue for certain water heaters and heating equipment as well in the future......

we just got a directdrive out of a basement stairwell similar to yours.....it took like 4 guys to lift up and twist up through the angled walls.....oddly enough, it did come out, but very tight...

Staber makes a top load/ horizontal axis washer that is narrow enough with a larger capacity then most other top loading H/A models.

Thanks, but the stabler models are more expensive than the speedqueen, so my hope is to get one of those. I just want to confirm that itll fit down the 23'' wide stairs disassembled.

Fitting a washer through a 23" opening

I measured a Stabler at our warehouse and it is 26 1/2 " deep and 27" wide.

I also measured a SQ TL washer and it will come down the stairs if you remove the cabinet, cabinet top and bend the cabinet slightly. You also may have to remove the washer assembly from the base-plate, then it will go down through a 22" opening. It is easier to do this with a WP DD washer, but it is possible if you or your delivery people are also service technicians.
