Washing sheets

I have purchased some washing sheets today, as an alternative to powder or liquid. Has any one tried them on here? Are they any good?
Must have ideas were selling them and the reviews seem promising
Thoughts please

I have never tried laundry strips but Which? has tested one brand and its score places it right at the very bottom of the ratings.

Melt’s strips won’t fade your colourful laundry but they performed woefully in our tests. Whereas some detergents removed almost all the stains we applied, Melt’s strips couldn’t shift a single one. They’ll also turn your bright whites grey. Don’t buy them. On the plus side, the packaging is recyclable - though that's not clear from the packaging instructions and we had to ask Melt to find that out.

What brand did you buy?  Consumer Reports has also tested several laundry sheets in the US and they all did badly.

Must have ideas

They are called simple sheets...you put a sheet on top of your laundry or you can put in the detergent drawer.
They have 66,585 5 star reviews so will test and let you know...
they come in a box of 100...one per wash

"Must Have Ideas" has a <span style="text-decoration: underline;">total</span> of 66,585 reviews, 83% of which are 5-star.  But these reviews only relate to the company in general and do not relate to the "Simple Sheets" laundry strips.  The way this Trustpilot rating is being portrayed on the Must Have Ideas website looks to be deliberately misleading to make you think it relates to the product you are viewing, when in fact it does not.

Our German consumer magazine recently tested Color detergents, one of them being sheets. Just as the examples above, the sheets came in last

I have sent en email to Trustpilot letting them know that the Trustpilot rating is being misrepresented by Must Have Ideas.

 

I hope the sheets work out for you, Michael.  If not, get a refund.

Hey. I just saw a commercial with the Pooph! guy for some brand of these things.
Not that that has anything to do with this conversation. I'm just saying.

Tru Earth

I've been using them for a while, but am not sure I will continue. I only use them for moderately dirty loads that don't require special care. I think the loads come out average.

 

I wear a lot of wool, so wool, silk and anything of similar color gets machine washed on hand wash or delicate with Eucalan wool wash. 

 

Sheets and towels get Tide Free every so often with a boost of chlorine or oxygen bleach.

eco scam

the ones I have seen in Canada are basically either a vegetable based soap product or a combo soap detergent product but think of how thick a half or quarter cup of compressed powdered soap or detergent would be, a lot thicker than the paper thin sheet these are, hence the poor cleaning, not enough product. One Canadian producer recently ran a barrage of guilt inducing advertising implying you are destroying the planet if you use anything else. They also seem to lack any corrosion inhibitors or soil sequestering agents-did I spell that correctly?! Anyway I am on Mexican holiday and wondering if I bring home a bag of Foca or Blanco Nueves powder or something else, no shortage of choice here.
