This is most likely an early version of these dishwashers. And I noticed the dial is "flipped" in a way. Wash is at the top at the "start" position. Our 1960/1961 has Dry at the top at start position. Implying this early version the timer dial rotated counter clockwise and our dishwasher, and the 1968 too, rotated clockwise.

So fascinated by this machine

I don't know why I am so fascinated by this machine. Maybe it's the loading pattern I don't know. All I know is I can't wait for Paul to get his so we can all get a closer look at it and see how it runs.

Ah, ok Tom. thank you. I've never seen in real life/action this timer progress. I assumed it was the same as ours, you pulled out the knob and it rotated. Cannot see any "pointer" near it though.

The pointer is on the end of the rectangular plastic piece in the middle of the timer face. It is not clear in the photo, but at the end with the "W", further back closer to the back of the part you use to start it and that turns to show the cycle progression is a raised small plastic pointer. I examined this to describe it to you.
