Some time ago Logixx posted a link to the new W1747 ecoline available on the German market. This is the first washer with both hot & cold fill in the european W1000 line ("cheaper line" ... from a mielish point of view, of course)

I read the user manual (link below) and noticed some interesting changes on the programmes chart (pages 21-22-23) and on the consumpion data (pages 56-57)

# Intensiv Plus - A new cotton programme, with default prewash, higher water level and longer wash time ( 2 h 46 mins vs 1 h 49 mins of the usual cotton cycle)
It seems that miele has heard our nostalgy for sloshy washes and prewashes ... but hadn't heard the complaints about endless cycles *LOL*
(To be honest even those early 80s Zannies took 3 hours to run a boilwash with a warm prewash ...)

# washing times are almost the same either one runs cold fill only mode or both hot&cold fill mode (it's the old wellknown washing time warranty)

# even tap cold and 20°C now are available

# the "short" option is no more available with "cottons" and "intensiv plus" so a fast hot wash is available only on perma press. Can't understand why ......
